Feeling guilty
Yes I have a section of feeling guilty when gambling.
Feeling guilty when gambling is a bad sign!, because there is something wrong. To me gambling is wrong when gambling money that was for paying bills and for gambling money that was to spend on your family or even to save money in the bank. I believe gambling is bad for the community, I do not support the Indian casino's, and State lotteries and State gambling! Gambling take money from small business when it so close to city and towns! The reason why Las Vegas does so good because of tourism, the Indians casino's make money from the community not from tourism.
I want you to understand, loosing money to casino's is not hard. You are not a loser, the chances of winning are slim nor matter who you are!
There are many house wife's that cry to me about loosing there husband paycheck or there part-time job paycheck. Machines can grab anyone and keep them addicted for a long time. The sad part is the casino's know this! And they act like they are not responsible. Casino's lie, and try all types of ways for you to gamble more money per visit. In Las Vegas that's fine, But in your own town it can be a dangerous to yourself and your family, and to the community. The media loves the money casino's spent on advertising, so they say nothing negative about casino's in the media!

Addiction "Am I addicted to gambling"
Well it not hard to become addicted to gambling. Most addiction comes from machines, tables you can become compulsive, but not like machines. I gamble for over 20 years and control my gambling till I met a video poker machine. Video poker is highly addictive and very expense. I became video addict, I play those machines for hours the money I made playing live poker I would spend it playing video poker. There were times I would play over 24 hours on one machine. Of  that time I met other people also addicted to them. I seen many of people lose their jobs, homes and families due to a machine. Don't laugh, gambling now days take in millions of dollars each year from this addiction. The problems is trying to quit, it is hard to quit! Every paycheck you think of playing and end up gambling most of it to the casino's. It's becomes a lonely addiction and you feel so alone. It took me 8 years to stop, the sad part I try to stop the first year. I knew I had a problem, the very first year. I could not control putting money in those machines!  Video Poker and the new nickel machines, and video keno are the most addictive games to play, and they are most hardest to quit. An average amount of money it take is for every ten minutes (.00 for every hour) and the chances of winning is very low. When you are compulsive (ADDICTED GAMBLER) and win a royal flush $1,000.00, you will continue play longer and spend it all back in the same night. WE ALL DONE IT!

If you feel you addicted please understand you are not alone, try to contact your local gamblers anonymous. "I UNDERSTAND YOUR PAIN" Casino's are responsible for this not you! Don't believe the casino's at any time! Casino's are the new drug lords of 90's and 2000's. The best thing I find to control my habits is to gamble free on the net or my own PC. Do not gamble real money on the net!!! You will not win!!!

Nickel machine can be highly addictive!

Indian casino's
I am against having Indian casino's. Why because one reason to close to home. I know that gambling can be addictive and a lot of good people will be affect by Indian casino's. They have a commercial talking about how much money they grab from the community last year and they were proud it !? Indian Casino's to me are a home for gambling addicts to get there fill. Remember this "The Indian casino's prey on the towns people, in Las Vegas there money comes from tourism", When our community spends a large amount money to gambling it hurts all the small businesses in town. Older people will spend more money than ever before on gambling. And young people will become addicted to gambling.
Indian casino's are not state regulated, video and slot machines are at much lower winning percent. By not having the state regulate the casino's the casino's do anything they want.  A perfect example, an Indian Casino in Albuquerque NM, had a 5 cent, 45 coins max. a progressive machine (Wheel of Fortune) at over ,000,000.00 and after 8 weeks they drop it down to ,000.00, without anyone hitting it.!? This would not happen in casino's in Las Vegas or they would be shut down!
Also having Indian casino's so near gets people to spend money to the casino's, so the small businesses in the community gets hammered by the casino's.
Indian casino's is not good for your community. If the State would regulate the casino's take out money machines and Check cashing and provide a gambler anonymous funding and programs for drug abuse teens and adults with the gambling taxes the State receives, then I would think different.!
Gambling hurts when it so close to home!
Until this I will always talk bad about the Indian Casino's.
Indian casino's do help bringing jobs to the community, if you want to be a casino dealer, I laugh when I say dealer because to an addicted gambler that what they are. You have to understand I have been gambling for 20 years, in the casino's, the horse races, poker rooms and even bingo almost every day since I was 19 years old. Gambling was a way of life for me. And to see younger and older people becoming addicted to gambling just breaks my heart. Is gambling bad? I don't know, but one thing I learned over those years is that casino's and any other gambling resources are responsible to there actions of deceiving the public of there money. Perfect example is having no windows, no clocks on the wall, using the term "entertainment", and having money machines and check cashing available. That right there goes to show you what ways to sucker you for more money! Sure some people win, but it brings them in the a non stopping roller coaster. Why because when you win you go back! And when you lose you go back, hoping to regain some little of your money you lost. Most people that live in a town such as Las Vegas know this, almost everyone born in Las Vegas do not gamble, they know they chances of winning is very slim.
Indian casino's do have the right to having a gambling business, but if the Indians do and the state does, than why not any other person or business have the right to open a gambling business or casino

Gambling Considered Taboo Among Navajos

This is not to say that all tribes or individual tribal members favor gambling on their reservations, and some will go so far as to say it is taboo. Indeed, historical documents report that gambling had its devastating effects. Culin's study included numerous accounts by early chroniclers who observed, sometimes in shock and moral indignation, the intensity and obsession to which players gambled away their high stakes with dreadful consequences to the losers. Anthropologist James Mooney, who recorded a lengthy Cherokee gambler myth, said he had seen "groups of men and women wager their ornaments and all their personal goods, even to their articles of clothing, until their bodies were nude." The governor of the Washington Territory reported that tribes of the upper Missouri devoted all their leisure time, both day and night, to gambling, to the distress and poverty of their families. There were several cases in which the loser, having bet and lost everything, went home and shot himself, and another case in which a man was murdered for refusing to stake his wife after already winning everything. These are still serious concerns on and off reservations today.
